A Month of Punch Ups and Punk Rock: September 2024 in Ten Photos

With Summer now behind it, it’s time to look towards a busy Autumn calendar. In fact, there was no rest for the wicked as the diary soon filled up with fight shows, football and the return of a group of punk rock legends.

September saw me back cageside for two huge MMA shows on the huge circuit from the teams at Full Contact Contender and Cage Warriors. Two evenings of full throttle combat sport with some of the future stars of the UK scene.

Elsewhere it was quiet on the football front although the clash between Everton and high flyers Manchester United in the WSL certainly made up for it.

On the gig front, the calendar saw gigs at both ends of the spectrum as death metal veterans Cannibal Corpse played to a sold-out Victoria Warehouse while our very own James Bay took to the road for a few intimate gigs ahead of the release of his new album.

Obviously the highlight of the month though was the return of the Sex Pistols fronted by the one man who, in all honesty was the name in mix when it came to fronting the band, Frank Carter.

Here’s my September in ten photos…
