By the time July comes around we’re well into the swing of the things. Outdoor gigs, pre-season friendlies, red carpet premieres, the calendar was full from start to finish.
It was hard to narrow down the highlights from a packed diary in July but gig-wise it was nice to see Nothing But Thieves kicking off gigs at Millenium Square where the likes of Anne-Marie and Paloma Faith were just some of the huge names that came to Yorkshire. Over in Halifax, it was another busy month at Piece Hall with Loyle Carner being the highlight and not just because of the huge thunderstorm that swirled around the area before the gig.
Elsewhere it felt like there was no break from football as pre-season returned for Knaresborough Town and Harrogate who battled it out against local rivals and Championship favourites Leeds United.
It’s always good to see a few familiar faces from the TV Soaps arriving on the red carpet in Manchester for the TV soap awards which reminds me, I need to catch up on last week’s Corrie!
